I've had so many different D-G wines, and we have a lot of them in our cellar. Pinot noir, chardonnay, a little zinfandel, even botrytis-affected riesling (which, BTW, is amazing!). Needless to say, I'm a big fan of what they consistently do. HOWEVER, this wine is just not up to their standards. Don't get me wrong: it's a solid wine (I gave it an 86), but just not what I've come to expect from them. Especially at the price we paid.

Decent bottle of wine, but not worth $30. I enjoyed the fresh berry and hint of red plums on the palate. It is very peppery, but not overwhelmingly so. I tasted the Spectrum with a light chill, and it may have intensified the spiciness as a result of the cooler serving temperature. The Dutton-Goldfield Winery makes very high quality juice but, at this price, I can say that I will not purchase it again.

I continue to like this, but I'm a pepper freak and there is a ton of pepper on both the nose and the palate. Some dark berry squeezes its way through, but mostly dominated by pepper. Night #2 showed some fading, so I'd suggest you drink this soon if you have it.

Not sure what the deal but this was not a good wine. It is disjointed and limited finish. Also very hot on the palate. It was on sale and I know why.

Syrah, Zin, Pinot Noir blend. Tasty, pepper, decent complexity.
