Very cloudy ruby color, knockout nose of high-toned fruit, some spice, some provencal herbs. Definitely more spice as it opened up over an hour or two. Tart fruit on the palate, cherries and cranberries, lip-smacking acidity and smooth well-integrated tannins. The acidity was perhaps a bit bright on its own but paired with food (rigatoni with Sunday ragu) I couldn't stop coming back for more.

Cloudy Ruby colored in the glass, nose is restrained with notes of spice and red fruits, on the palate tart fruits predominate with cranberry, unripe cherry and firm plums with a note of baking spices. We would expect this blend (54% Syrah, 27% Grenache, 12% Mouvedre, 7% Counoise) to be more fruit forward and vibrant from Paso versus tart. She may be in a 'dumb' phase and unfortunately we don't have another bottle to lay down and try in a few years.
