  • Smooth and no bad after taste

  • Mellow, perhaps left too long(?) - not much finish remaining. Deep black cherry notes and quite liquorice-y for a Pinot Noir, not a bad thing necessarily but perhaps a bit bolder than expected.

  • The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing pronounced intensity aromas of raspberries, strawberries, liquorice, vanilla and hints of neutral blue flowers. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium(+) acidity. It has medium(-) soft tannins and a medium(+) alcohol. It has a medium body and pronounced intensity flavours of raspberries, strawberries, liquorice, vanilla and hints of neutral blue flowers. The finish is medium(+).

It is a very good quality wine. It has a quite decent finish and a very good fruit concentration well-balanced by some acidity and alcohol, however it lacks a bit of tannic structure to support the fruit, and it could be more complex. Can drink now, but it has enough acidity and fruit concentration to develop some more complexity in the next 1-2 years.

  • Tasted at a party. Nose is candy-esque with twizzlers and maraschino cherries. Light to medium body; palate comes in with similar sweet cherry and strawberry flavors initially, dipping in the mid-palate. Finish is a short to medium with mixture of twizzlers muddled with cedar-box/tobacco with notes of vanilla.

Enjoyable wine despite the relatively straightforward and candy-like flavors. Coming in at ~$10, nice QPR and a good option to serve at non-serious wine venues. (80-81 rating bumped up for QPR)

  • This is a great wine for the money. Varietally correct, even though I suspect it is not 100% PN (their website doesn't say). Quite enjoyable for $10.
