Did not seem varietally correct and not a particularly interesting wine with character. Paid $21.99, worth maybe half that price as a house wine. It was even worse than my note of July 2017. Believe it is on its way out.

Decent. Not worth the $21.99 we paid, probably would not re-purchase. Somewhat varietally correct with some decent denseness and fruit that gave it some character, but fell short of being a Barbera that would catch my attention in a tasting.

Cloudy ruby. Nose of violets, dark berries, mint. Candied fruit on the palate with a wide sweet aromatic acid finish. Has a balance that I didn't perceive in previous tastings. 50 + 15 + 16 + 8 = 89.

Hint of acetone (VA?) on the nose, obscuring underlying aromas of coffee and blueberries. Rich fruity palate, a little unstructured, some clarifying acids on the finish. Good basic food wine, not much more. 50 + 13 + 14 + 6.

surprisingly delicious. Palate of dark berries, a little leather. Dark ruby red. Medium + body. Not highly complex but not completely monolithic. Fruity and clean. No Italian funk. not much aroma but flavorful, smooth. Mild acidity. A nice easy quaff. good picnic or pizza wine. paid $15 for it so its a winner!
