Enjoyed with Christmas Day dinner of baked ham, potatoes dauphinoise and asparagus. Hint of pepper in the palate, overall fairly mild pinot noir. Last pour had a bit of sediment that clouded the glass a tad, but still pleasant wine.

The Alchemist symbol for fermentation. riper, more complex and more pronounced than the Kings Ridge 2011 Pinot Noir. Oak shows up front on the palate, but properly structured. A browner, dusty barrel pronouncement. Medium plus finish. Great potential for $30.

Shows allot of wood right now. Bigger and sweet on the palate than Ransom, and also bitter on the finish. May resolve.
