Paired wonderfully with a cherry compote pork tenderloin. Notes of fruit, especially cherry, both on the nose and the palate. Well aged right now, smooth and complex.

HdR Lunch #2 (Hospices du Rhone): Not sure where this came from, I did not see the varietals on the label. It stood out as I doubt it is a Rhone wine. Drinks like a Bordeaux blend or maybe sangiovese. Maybe I am wrong, but that is how it came off. A bit earthy/musty with some red fruit. Cherries on the palate. Slight heat.

A bit tight, but still enjoyable for its blend of red fruit and herb flavors
