When I first tasted this '12 beauty in March 2015, I described it as "delicious, textbook Carmenère," "an incredible value," "complex and multi-layered," "a gorgeously rich expression of one of Chile's signature grapes." I'm glad I kept another bottle for several years longer, because this continues to be a hugely impressive wine, lovely, rich, and deep, with aromas and flavours that are even better integrated now, with a structure that is softer, the texture creamier, but still standing tall. The notes now (similar to then) are blackberry, dark cherry, butter, twigs, earth, leather, brown spice, vanilla, herbs, and cured meat, with green pepper coming later, somewhat less prominent but still very much present as a core characteristic of Chilean Carmenère. I gave a score of 90 back then. Now, I'd say this is a touch higher at 90-91. Whatever the case, it's great wine and a great value -- the '12 was just $18 (in Ontario), and more recent vintages have held steady at that price.

Excelent cost/benefit! Deep rubi inking the glass, brings all carmenere typicity. 8 months in american and french oak, brings notes of cherry, olive, pepper and vailla. Medium body, tanines still a little bit tough but presents a very good ending. Cost like 16 bucks in a Santiago's supermarket.

Dense dark fruits (plums!), ripe, robust and rusty, oaky, jammy, with sweet herbals notes, not really complex, ok for the price
