Pop and pour, this is a fairly classic Rivers Marie pinot. I'm not sure that it excels any more than a decent bottle of their Sonoma coast, but the typical cherry, cola, tangerine, spice and acid.

92+ points but right now this wine needs time / air / at least a short decant if possible to open up at this stage. Initially rather muted and shut down and our good wine friends who brought the bottle thought it was over the hill with loss of fruit but it was drunk so fast by 5 people that it was only the last glass that really started to open up hence score and this TN are based on that last glass. With proper handling as already noted above this wine is actually in a beautiful place with probably a little more cellar time under proper cellaring conditions but really no further upside to further cellaring - definitely drink not hold. Beautiful deep purple high end Sonoma coast pinot, mature, well balanced, good mouth feel, medium bodied with a medium length aftertaste. Nose darker then flavor profile with dark plum, lilac, eucalyptus and smoke with a very interesting flavor profile of plum and blackberry up front and Asian spices, black tea a darker citrus almost tangrine or orange note on the end. Definitely recommend with the caveats of drink up now and give it air.

A super vibrant wine. Lots of cranberry, tea, orange peal... orange and red cirtris. Balanced acidity with a medium finish. Wish I had more.

Last of 3 and still drinking very nicely.
Fruit driven (cranberry, orange peel, pomegranate, blood orange), bright acids, tannins are silky smooth at this point.
Very enjoyable CA Pinot.
