This isn't bad for 7 bucks. There is a lifted, precise cherry flavor immediately as it hits the lips. Pouring into the decanter, the nose was pure Chile with wet tree bark, tree sap, green pepper and cloves. The color is magenta, but less opaque than you would expect from Cabernet. Just a little more than medium bodied. More red fruit than black. Some oak tannins. Did not hold up as well as expected to dinner of chicken cordon blue. Fairly light finish with red raspberry and red licorice.

Some leather and pepper on the nose. Medium-bodied, short finish. Enjoyed it more on its own than with red meat.
