Aged in used, neutral 500-liter oak casks. 12,5% alcohol.
Thoroughly translucent ruby red color. Smoky, wild and slightly sappy nose with aromas of crushed forest fruits, sharp lingonberry tones, a little bit of earth, light herbal tones and a zesty, Campari-like note of chinotto. The wine is lively, moderately full-bodied and quite wild on the palate with pretty intense flavors of ripe black raspberries, sour cherries, some sappy herbal notes, a little bit of wild Campari character, a little bit of of exotic spices and phenolic clove, light smoky tones, a subtly bitter hint of sour cherries and a funky touch of brett. The wine is enjoyably full-bodied, rich and quite mouth-filling, yet it still feels very playful and appears very light on its feet. The structure relies mostly on the high acidity, as the light tannins are quite mellow and contribute mainly to the texture. The finish is fresh, long and lively with crisp flavors of tart lingonberries, sappy herbal spice, some zesty Campari character, a little bit of wild strawberry, light phenolic smoky tones, a hint of sour cherry bitterness and a subtly bretty touch of leather.
A very nice, fresh and vibrant little St. Laurent that is obviously quite wild and natural in style, but despite its noticeably naturalist leanings it comes across as wonderfully pure and lively, instead of particularly funky and weird. Very fresh and deliciously crunchy take on this variety, feeling very similar to more natural Cru Beaujolais wines. Fun stuff.

Sankt Laurent or Pinot St. Laurent is a grape out of the burgundy family with a wide extension in Austria especially in Lower Austria and Burgenland; Gernot Heinrich is one of the renowned producers of Austrian red wine. His St- Laurent is produced from grapes of both sides of the Lake of Neusiedel which gives the wine a sort of blend from the same grapes.
Very dark ruby color almost black - typical nose with cherries with tobacco notes - mineralic flavor with hints of exotic spices, very smooth and long finish

Color: Ruby with blue reflections. You can see through from the top to the bottom. Nose: Baked plums with a hint of spices like cinnamon. Mouth: Consistent with the nose. Nice sour fruit. Very pure and expressive fruit. Velvety mouthfeel. Only 12.5% alc.!

Vin original mais tout croche! Nez rebutant sur le cuir, le chimique et le végétal. En bouche, c'est hyper acide et très amer...finale sur la chauffe et asséchante. Vraiment pas aimé ce vin.
