Half. I line with previous halves. Gorgeous. Rich coppery bronze in colour. Orange, apricot, a touch of mango, some barley sugar and as previously, the 230g of RS delivered on a razor blade. Intensely sweet but absolutely perfectly balanced by the acidity. Just so smooth and yet electrifying. *****

Flat out awesome. Deep bronze in colour, hugely sweet with the power and density I'd expect from Rheingau, and packed with an array of passionfruit, grapefruit, orange marmalade, and honeyed and spicy accents. It's intensely sweet but also remarkably light on its feet with powerful acidity that keeps this perfectly balanced, and a finish that has unbelievable length.

Farewell Filippo, Il Duomo table (La Trompette, London): Half. Coppery bronze. Immensely sweet but cut through with an electric acidity that gives real zing. A real pick me up. Orange, apricot and barley sugar flavours, but this is all about the lip-smacking sweetness delivered on a razor blade. *****

Wraysbury Dinner (R/B/A) (Home): Half. A coppery bronze colour, a little more developed than previous halves. Very sweet, but balanced by effortless acidity. Very complete. Flavours in the orange water and barley sugar spectrum. Lacks just a shade of freshness and drive cf previous bottles of this. ****1/2

LMHB (The Ledbury): 2 halves, consistent, though the second maybe a little more savoury. Mid to full amber. As per previous halves, clementine and marmalade and a touch of barley sugar. Lip-smackingly sweet and concentrated with wonderfully full balancing acidity. Unctuous yet fresh. Spot on. *****
