2nd bottle, first drank back in '16 that showed better. Hard to discern the Syrah typicity, but that might just be due to my unfamiliarity with Syrah in this Swiss terroir. Was M body with M+ acidity. Drank without food. Had a nice nose, but on the palate this wine showed better some years ago and it seemed to be slowly falling apart in terms of the structure. Drink up!

Brought to a group blind tasting of "off the beaten path" old world wines and this was one of the top 2 wines. (Lost my notes and don't recall whether it was #1 or #2). Blind, I had mistakenly pegged this as Grenache or Grenache blend, but it's 100% Syrah. Meaty, savory, with a bit of pepper and with the alcohol well in check.

Nice with food, took a little while to open up. My sense is that it’s time to drink up,

It’s quite nice. Not a ton of fruit - pretty mild and definitely a darker finish. But very drinkable and enjoyable.

Great QPR wine
Full bodied but well balanced ripe red fruits tannins with some smoked meats and mild vanilla. Soft tannins .
