Doing a vertical tasting tonight with a 2009 and 2010 Tresor. Cork of the 2009 was clean. Cork of the 2010 is wet about halfway down with some tartrates (crystals) on the end. Funk on the nose of both wines but with more fruit coming through on the 2010. Tasting the wine, there is slightly more dark fruit coming through in the 2009 than in the 2010. Just opened and still tasting - more to come. Second day: Same as the first - no discernible difference from yesterday. The two wines are also almost indistinguishable but for slightly more fruit on the nose of the 2010 and the flavor of the 2009. Both are on the edge, if not a bit over, and need to be drunk now. Ideally, I should have opened them earlier this year if not last year.

haven't tried this is 5 years, and the improvement is remarkable; outstanding nose of dark fruits, deep, rich, complex palate and smooth finish... what a pleasant surprise

A variety of aromas on the nose and a crisp palate of berries and earthy flavors. Smooth tannins improved with decanting over time. Will hold my other bottle for another year or two before opening.

Big, purple, eminently drinkable, with red fruit, bit of herbs, barely any tannin. Nice finish. Pleasant but unexciting. Slight bitterness in the finish.

Opened with pleasant floral and berry aromas but was more acidic than expected even after decanting for 3 hours.
