  Always some concern opening a bottle with more than 20 years on it. I was very happy this one performed.
  
  Dark Burgundy in color. Medium minus body
  Asphalt, still showing hints of cherries and red fruit leather, faint wet moss
  Very light on first taste. Silky and all finesse. Medium minus finish. Nicely balanced. The red fruit is still there but nuanced with some slight earthiness coupled with a faint metallic aftertaste on the FIRST glass.
  
  All in all an excellent bottle of wine that has stood up to the test of time. I do think it is at, or has just peaked. If you have any, drink up now.
