I absolutely concur. This surprised me just how good it is. In a great spot. Thoroughly enjoyed. Bummed out because it was my only bottle. I would definitely buy more if available.

In a great spot. Maybe not the most complex 1st Cru, but sheer enjoyment rating very high for me. Richness of the vintage definitely showing but still has a little structure and some acid to balance out nicely. Drink up.

Double decanted and left 1h in the bottle. Red fruit, spices and earth on the nose. High acidity, great fruit and a lot more structure than a Sonoma Ceritas tasted alongside. Lovely balance and a slight earthy aftertaste. This will need another 5+ years to gain more complexity, but overall this is the wine of the night that gains the most from being left to breathe in the glass. Would have liked to follow over a longer time but a 2-3h tasting round of some 10 wines didn't allow for more. 92-93p

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Very tasty. Red berry throughout with some spice hints that made me think there's some whole cluster here. Very nice and elegant, but I was surprised to see this as over $100, but I guess this is from the Clos.

Knightsbridge Wine Shoppe - Annual Burg & Champagne Tasting (Northbrook, IL): Walk around tasting, brief note. Stem-driven herbs and cherry on the nose. Generous and expansive in the mouth with round fruit. Earthy with more stem-driven complexity. Drinking well and enjoyable young. 91-93
