Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • A lively & rustic Tempranillo. But the winery operates at a very low profile, which presented a big challenge to CellarTracker, "the largest database of wines on the planet." After a lot of work entering all the identifying data, here are the results: Very deep ruby with a bit of rust. Nice nose of spices, blackberries, red berries. Tartly delicious on the palate, as redwood notes and a bit of creosote join clear fruit in a juicy texture. Finishes with moderate grippy tannins. A fairly rustic red that seems to aim for Spanish style. Could be better in a few years, but it's good & interesting now because the tartness and spicyness work well. Only 140 cases, and the winery barely exists, so why enter this? Because it's there, and I just tasted it, that's why.
