Needs a 4 hour decant- this has been aged perfectly since I acquired in 2012. Perfect balance with a nice finish. This is still far from prime. You can tell this wine comes from a good part of the vineyard. All class. Revisit 2025.

Certainly the best d'Eugenie wine offered today, I think Clos Vougeot has consistently been the wine the new owners have best figured out; of course, Engel's holdings used to produce some of the vineyard's benchmark wines.

2015 La Paulée Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion, New York): Biggest of these wines, again showing a hefty dose of oak. Ripe black cherry fruit, some soil, roundly tannic. To me the most impressive wine they poured, but your tolerance for wood must be pretty high if you are going to enjoy these.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Great aray of berry aromas and flavors with lots of both whole cluster and new oak spice everywhere. Impressive balance and cellarworthy potential.

La Paulée de New York - Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion): Probably the best of the range but again too much extraction and too much oak. I didn't care for the wines from this producer.
