Well, shit. All structure. I was hoping that the warm, fruity vintage would shine through. I just don't have a read on these wines. Has that "medicinal reserve" sensation to the fruit that Tanzer always notes, but how about some tenderness? I have to believe that there is a reward in the future for cellaring these, I just can't figure out exactly when.

Soirée avec Louis Boillot, Ghislaine Barthod et des copains (à la maison): Ouvert depuis 8:00am...Beau nez parfumé de fraises des champs, c'est charmeur. Belle bouche racée, qui me semble ouverte et voluptueuse (j'ai appris ensuite qu'il était ouvert depuis 8:00am!), une finale complexe et raffinée. Excellent. D'aucuns le trouvaient serré, voire difficile, dont Louis! J'ai eu beaucoup plus de plaisir, mais 2012 est un millésime qui me plait beaucoup. 92-93 pts

Opened prev day. Red fruit, baking spice, bits of earth. Just a bit of firmness, but it's fairly delicate with a light weight and rounded feel without any heaviness at all currently. 88-90, i'd hold.

Un Gevrey d'une grande fraîcheur, un beau fruit croquant, très peu de tannins et une belle acidité. Belle bouteille.
