Thoroughly impressed by how good this fixin is. From a half bottle. Nose had cinnamon spice, red currant, coffee beans and orange peel. Palate was delicate and expressive. Medium body and simple but on point. 90+

Appearance: Bright and clear, it has light-medium ruby color, with fading rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of red fruit of redcurrant, cherry and plum, black fruit of blackberry, animal notes of fur and musk, maturity notes of forest floor. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has high tannin of ripe and grippy texture, medium alcohol but warming, medium body and medium intensity flavors of red fruit of ripe cherries and raspberry, black fruit of blackberry, animal notes of leather, herbaceous notes of blackcurrant leaf. The wine has a medium (+) finish. Conclusion: Good quality Fixin with a reasonably intense nose showing decent complexity, the wine has a high level of tannin, having good structure and nice concentration of similar flavors. The alcohol level is medium but there is a bit of unexpected warming effect in stomach. The finish is in fact quite good, with a fairly long finish. It is ready to drink now though can further develop for another 2-3 years. And certainly it is high in the value proposition.

Burgundy Tasting with Daniel Haas, Vineyard Brands (State Line, Elkton, MD): Darker and richer than the Matrot St. Aubin En Creots. Some earthy notes, structured, fruity, spice and a little alc on the nose. Cherry fruit, some mineral. More structured by not more complex. 88
