Complex aromas of coffee bean, mocca, roasted almond, cured meat, dried cherry, blackberry, and a little peperry.
Palate is dense and still quite tannic. Dry, medium plus body. Med plus acidity. Elegant than initially anticipated. Smooth blueberry and dark cherry. Savory. Noticeable minerality. That grounded coffee bean is delightful. Still some traces of charred cedary oak components. Lingering finish.
This bottle is in a good place. Clearly a Syrah. A middle of the road between old world and new. Give it half an hour. Ready for business but will also keep for a while longer yet. 91.

No formal note. Had a better bottle a couple of years ago. This is ok but does have the potential of the previous bottle. Floral and meaty. Balanced with no excess. May be in the sleeping phase.

One of the first Donelan wines I found that have been drinkable. Fairly opaque. Very average nose. Decent purple fruit that fades tremendously with about two hours of air. Average finish. Not a bad wine, but horrible QPR

100% Syrah
Deep brownish purple. Opaque and clean.

A good midweek wine. Nothing special.

Good wine. Enjoyed with Peking Duck. Had Dominus and Pride Mountain Claret Reserve before this so nothing memorable.
