7 Tasmania Wineries Jan-14; 1/9/2014-1/14/2014: {screwcap, 12%, A$25} A new entry-level label from Bay of Fires (whatever happened to the old Tigress brand I don’t know). This wine is sulphury and funky-smelling, with yeasty flavours everywhere. Not very Riesling-like at all. Tastes way sweeter than its 6g/l of sugar would indicate (needs more acid, probably). The pouring girl defended it as a stage. Dunno about that. Short/medium length finish. Pass.
