  • A nose of some dark fruit and some spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with black cherry, plum, some licorice and pepper on a chunky finish. www.winelx.com

  • A blend composed of predominantly Malbec, supplemented with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tannat and Bonarda. 40% of the wine is aged in oak barrels for 8-10 months.

Very deep and dark, only slightly translucent cherry red color with a subtle mahogany hue. Rich, dark-toned and slightly meaty nose with quite overripe aromas of blackberry jam, some overripe blackcurrants, a little bit of sweet strawberries, a hint of sweet toasty oak and a floral touch of violets. The wine is very full-bodied, rich and soft on the palate and although technically dry, the wine appears almost cloyingly sweet with concentrated, overripe flavors of chocolate oak, sweet dark plums, boysenberry marmalade, some fig jam, a little bit of savory woody spice and a touch of vanilla. The wine is lacking structure with its quite modest acidity and ripe medium tannins. The finish is warm, sweet and spicy with flavors of jammy dark fruits, blackcurrant marmalade, some overripe plums, a little bit of toasty oak spice and a hint of vanilla.

Ugh. A wine that's all about overripe, jammy fruit with not an iota of freshness, harmony or complexity. Just sweet, cloying and flabby fruit. A simple crowdpleaser for people who can't stand wines that taste dry or show any kind of acid brightness. To a palate trained on classic European reds, this is pretty unpleasant stuff.

  • A high altitude blend of Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon this wine shows savoury, meaty characters on the nose. The palate is earthy with hints of tobacco.

  • PnP after chilly in fridge for 30mins. Ruby purple dense but not saturated with a violet rim. Raspberry cocoa espresso and smoky herbs on the nose. Medium weight with ripe cherry skin tannins with a touch of black tea grip. Bright red and blue fruits on the palate with a touch of espresso herbs with a lingering minerally finish. great with grilled Oyama sausages. Great value.

Sealed and saved half the bottle in the fridge overnight. Poured a glass and let it air for 2hrs. Nicely integrated with fruit a little more forward. Fruit flies love it which is always a good sign. +1
