Once again ... I love old wine. I love it's melancholy flavors which are unique to old wine and only old wine. This one is no different. It is soft, mostly round with surprisingly balanced acidity and tannin. Really really nice refined wine. Flavors are black cherries to start, tobacco at mid palette, and a finish that is even a little of an over-ripened and slightly rotted strawberry.

Surprisingly still has good fruit (fading) and a smooth finish. I thought this bottle would have been not good, but I was pleasantly surprised.
CHERRIES AND BLACKBERRIES IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH. TASTED 10/28/00 & 3/16/03 BOTH FROM LYNN.
