  • Drank half bottle of this after it had been open a day or longer. No off-putting aromas at all! I am hard to please with California wines, and yet this got thumbs up from me. The nose reminded me of vibrant Tempranillo Spanish wines, red, somewhat floral, good fruit; then on the palate more dark or soft Cabernet strawberry carried through than a Tempranillo would deliver. Cool blend, I don't know what it is; but I suspect Petit Sirah and Cab/Merlot given the winery. Oak not overly done, very nice. Price? Delightful, a winner in my book.

  • Really torn on this wine. Nose is somewhat offputting with asparagus and menthol. On first drink, palate also contains a good deal of asparagus but as wine has been in my glass for about an hour, lovely red fruit shows itself. Finish is a little oaky. I still am concerned about the persistant menthol quality.

  • Strong nose of asparagus, rotten grass clippings and black berry fruits. The palate carries blackberries, tomato, asparagus, wet tobacco and soil. Some richness of fruit but the wet tobacco and asparagus carry the most weight here. Nice body and weight, just wish it wasn't so awkward to taste.

  • This was a nice drink, jammy and pretty monolithic. I think this may be over the hill. Drink 'em if you got 'em.

  • Juicy and jammy, but will tease with coriander, bell pepper spice and hints of anise if given time in the glass.
