Nose is fragrant exhibiting forest red fruit, cinnamon, menthol, and balsamic vinegar.
Color is still dark purple with slight browning on the edges. Lots of black cherry fruit up front with a savory aspect mid-palette that was not present in the last bottle from September 2018. This bottle also had less acidity and only faint raspberry notes. It was still an excellent wine that is well within the maturity window. Drink now -2021.

I hadn't tried this vintage in a couple of years and it was as nice as I had remembered! That classic SRH nose of dark cherry and burnt sugar. On the palate, smooth fruit and tannins, almost silky. The acid pleasantly comes through on the finish. Probably good that I enjoyed now...

From memory, cherry and wild berry fruit on a silky frame. Oak is integrated and gives the wine some spice/pepper characteristics that I don’t recall from previous bottles. Fully mature, drink over next couple of years

Fantastic bottle. Fragrant nose of sour red fruit, oak spice, cinnamon, notes of smoke, red pepper. Layered silky red cherry, strawberry and Marion berry fruit with earthy mid-palette and a long berry filled finish where slight oak nuances mix into the flavor party. Much improved since last bottle 3 1/2 years ago as the oak has integrated and secondary flavors are emerging. Re-assessing the drinking window, this wine is just entering peak drinking and should be good for another few years at least. Drink now - 2023.
