Looks like a young Nebbiolo. Stewed cherries and a lifted note reminiscent of orange peel and herbs. Still strong tannic backbone, but approachable. There is a slight green note that makes me wonder if the grapes reached full ripeness. If I had additional bottles, I would sit on this for a few years to see how it develops.

Beautiful, expressive nose. 1-2 hour decant. Drinking very well for me. Still plenty of tannic structure. Firm tension throughout the palate. The palate was less expressive than the nose at this point, but that’s not really a complaint. The palate held my attention and interest and never let go. I expect it will get even better with time. My last of 3 bottles, so I might not find out.

Seems like there’s great fruit underneath, but unfortunately hard to appreciate given the strong char and oak notes. Expansive nose, with some menthol, smoke, char, and floral nuances. Tannins present, but less assertive than you might expect for a 10yo Barolo. Finish seems to be all oak notes though—char and smoke. Maybe will improve with time. Accessible enough for a young wine.

Probably one of the most aromatic (flowers, spices, star anise), balanced and sexy Barolos I have ever had. Drink it now—it’s stunning. One to two hours in the decanter.

Tons of potential but too young. Hold onto this. Decanted for 3 hours and was still tannic and wound up. I would revisit in 5 years
