  • Well past prime with some oxidation. Fruit is mainly gone, but still drinkable. Disappointing.

  • Double decanted, as this seemed tight on the tasting pour. Even after a fair amount of air, somewhat strange. Loads of smoky, peaty notes, almost like an Islay scotch. This bottle didn't show a lot of fruit, but loads of minerality/toast. On the palate, extremely austere with loads of citrus and a touch of curd; loads of bitter citrus oil. This is not bad, but it shows rather extreme today...we'll see how this is tomorrow.

Ok, tried this again today..and throwing in the towel. I'm not sure what is up with this bottle, but there's something off. It's probably mildly corked and somewhat damaged.
