  • Burnt brick red color with a rim tinging towards orange. Moderately opaque. Very good nose of acidic fruit with a bit of dusty age to it. Vanilla. Leather. A little alcohol early on that faded once it had a chance to breath. Initial taste is fruit of sour apple which leads to biting tannins and acidity. not a lot of fruit to back up or balance the tannins. Finishes very long but ends in an estringent almost turpentine funk. Still has good complexity of flavors though is a bit disjointed and lacks depth. Got better as it breathed over two days. I sense it really doesn't have the pedigree to be much more than it is. And perhaps I held this one a bit too long....

  • Sour cherries and fine tannin dominate the palate. Slight metallic overtones got in the way. Otherwise this was a rather simple wine that perhaps should have been drunk a couple of years earlier.

  • Black/red but transparent in color. 13% alcohol. 100% Nebbolio. An interesting nose: mint/new car smell and prickly pain thinner (or prickly sheep herd stable :-)). First attack is a bit green (even some apple). Berries, plum with a sting of pine/cedar rounded off with spices. Full bodied, intense. Round but clean texture. Almost unnoticeable, but mouth drying tannins. A long subtle finish with cigar box, mocca (and a slight hint of vanilla), and candy leaving an acidic mouth cleaning feel. Excellent with food.

  • Dark bright red with purple reflections. Cedar wood, light red fruit on the nose. Medium bodied. Lively acidity, cherry, cedar/eucalyptus, minerals, a light but delicate finish.
