  Dense dark fruit with notes of licorice and coffee. Tastes good but lacks delineated flavors. Finish is astringent. Better in a few years perhaps?
  
  I originally rated this 89 but added a point because it is so dense and tasty.

  Offert par un taquin sympa…On ne dit pas assez souvent que Bordeaux offre des rapports q-p excellents et celui-ci en est un autre exemple.
  
  Un beau nez de cassis, avec un coté chocolaté apporté par l’élevage.
  Une bouche juteuse, large en attaque, un beau fruit mûr qui rappelle le grand millésime, des tanins dodus, une finale qui parait courte mais prend de l’étoffe avec l'aération. Un bon vin qui a tout ce qu’il faut pour vieillir une décennie. 88 pts

  Day 1: only 30 minute decant, which was clearly not enough time. Could taste the heat and wine was unresolved. Day 2: Much much better. Considerable tannins and fruit left, but in wonderful balance with a long, lingering finish. No secondary flavors today and not sure if they will develop in future. Excellent QPR
