Bright red fruit, mint and maybe cherries but not sweet. Good acid balance but no noticeable tannins. Pleasant nose of roses; medium red color.
A (now very good) friend brought this magnum to a Valentines wine party. It was set against a magnum of Pio Cesare Barolo on the Italian table and the comparison provoked lots of conversation. It is smoother, sweeter and milder than the Barolo and was gone first.
Great against mild cheeses and the crab cakes. Very popular to wash down the caramelized cayenne cashews.

Not much notes on this one. One of the weakest in a Barbaresco tasting. Felt modern in style. Not very structured, lowish acidity. Lacked a bit intensity. Very sweet on the palate. Ok wine, nothing mindblowing, not bad either.
