Loved this bottle. Lots of spice and fruit in this wine. It's just as good at any $25 bottle I have had for the price of $10. Wish I could get more of this wine.

Nose of prunes, stewed grapes and spice. Palette is thick and fruity. Smooth tannins - easy drinking, just a little bite on the mid palette. Modest finish. Nothing extraordinary, but a good Wednesday night cheapie.

[Rosking Horse] Vibrant nose of sweet cherries, rose pedals, hickory. In the first hour the wine had nice fruit, licorice. Became a little thin after the first hour. Great QPR.

A bit hot on the nose, but a nice wine. Cherries dominate, with a good mouthfeel and a good balance of fruit and tannins. Only a hint of spiciness this time (as opposed to last time I had this wine), so I rated it a point or two lower, as I thought that was a nice component.
In any event, at $9, this is a great deal for everyday drinking. (Unless, you know, you're a billionaire. Then I suggest some '82 Bordeaux for everyday drinking. And I also suggest you invite me over. Every day.)

Hearty wine but over the hill. Took a long time to take the edges off. Some frut, very chewey but kind of flat.
