  • Delicious pinot! Invites drinking rather than sipping. Initial fruitiness comes across the palate almost like a sweet wine, but this is technically a "dry" wine. Puts to shame most cheap (i.e., under $10) pinots from California or d'Oc. I agree with the person who called this (@$7.99) the best value in pinot today.

  • Not Pinot Noir - it's a sauvignon blanc, $8 & really good!

  • PnD. Bright clear bloody garnet with a clear rim. Black raspberry cigar box lavender and black pepper on the nose. Light weight with ripe cherry skin tannins. Bright red fruits with a touch of rhubarb black tea and herbs. Has a richness that is nicely balanced with fresh acidity. Maybe the world's best pinot value. Would like to try it blind against some other NZ pinot costing 3-4x as much. Totally case worthy!

  • Pretty distinctive style. This one sort of sneaks up on you. As it first crosses the lips, you get the impression this is lighter style Pinot, but the palate proves that theory wrong. When pouring into the decanter, there was a very interesting combination of cigar box, roses and squeezed red raspberries. There is a creamy richness, not typical to Pinot as you swish a swallow around in the mouth. I think they used a touch of oak, and worked with the lees a little. The fruit is sharp and ripe, but not over baked. There is not a lot of structure to gain a high score, but in a simple, red raspberry meets tannin and oak with decent acidity way, we say nice job for $8

  • Alright. Nothing special: Lots of raspberry in the nose, the finish is a bit bitter. For that price ok.
