Delightful wine to drink. Possibly slightly past prime. Nose is a bit light with red fruit and earth. Palate big strawberries, cherries, some flowers. Earthy, maybe some wet pine-forest floor. A little vanilla oak. Seems it lacks some of the structure I've tasted in bottles I've had previously. Still, delicious and keeps me coming back for another taste.

Beautifully developed, this is the oldest vintage of J.K. Carriere I've had the pleasure of tasting. Blackberries, black cherry and spice. Hibiscus and incense. Still vibrant and entirely elegant with good concentration of flavor nicely balanced against a defined acid backbone. Tart red spiced apple rings and black tea on a generous finish. I have come to really appreciate this producer over the past two years and this bottle further cements my positive opinion.

I opened this mag of the fine product for my birthday. It has been in my cellar since 2006 and I determined it was about time to open it. I drank this great bottle with 2 friends who are significant drinkers of all things Pinot or Burgundy. A huge success with all whom partook in its delights. JK Carriere you made my 57th birthday with this fine juice.

Red fruit nose. Intense, very concentrated red fruit in front, more strawberry than cherry in this bottle. Move towards earthiness and leather in the back. Very nice.

In a good stage with enough complexity to keep you going back for more. Fairly restrained and refined. Yet not very singular.
