  • Violet/encre. Trouble.

  • Dark purple color, plenty of fruit. Opened up well after an hour.

  • Robe bourgogne très foncé et légèrement brouillée. Arômes de boisé, fruits noirs et sous-bois. Assez costaud, bonne astringence, A décanté 2h. Long en bouche. Manque de raffinement.

  • Open decant, pretty raw up front, peppery, tar smoke, after a couple hours it reveals even more depth and complexity.
Mid age with more in the tank.
With you will not get to with a PNP.

  • For once, a wine that lives up to the ratings of the wine mags.
The 40% Malbec is predominant and gives it the dark inky color and forward fruit. The 30% Merlot mellows it out a tad, while the 30% Cab pulls in a different direction that tends to make it quite a dry wine.
We tasted abundant dark fruit, which was neither restrained nor overwhelming. Also graphite, oak, touch of licorice.
This wine would go with more robust seafood and poultry dishes, as well as mellower red meat dishes. It is a click more than medium-bodied, perfectly balanced, everything integrated and for $25, what a deal.
Drink now, it needs about an hour of breathing, decant if you want, we did not.
