Not doing it for me at all. Although very smooth, the flavor profile was far too nutty and oak dominated. I definitely prefer the younger expressions of Redbreast.

Similar to previous notes though just a little less exciting as I’m more used to it now. This is completely different to the 12 and 15 year age statements - this is altogether more pure and etherial.

Nose of spicy, charred, vanillia-ish oak with hints of candied apple obscured by the oak. Better in the mouth, where the lovely caramel sweetness starts to come into balance. This is enjoyable, but I'm clearly not the biggest Redbreast fan. Drunk next to Springbank 10, I preferred the Springbank.

Pure and etherial, this is a stunning whiskey with lovely high tones, dances on the palate.
