Opened this in 2022 and half expected it to be past its prime but was pleasantly surprised. It aged very well. Golden yellow color. Balanced acidity, some minerality, creamy mouthfeel with bright citrus notes and a slight nuttiness. If this wine ages this well I think I'll buy a few more bottles to store away for another 5 or 6 years.

Wednesday Drop-In Tasting at Gervais & Vine of Aleph Wines hosted by Noelle Norton (Gervais & Vine, Columbia, SC.): This is a pretty interesting Spanish white Rueda. They blended 8% Viura and 2% Sauvignon Blanc with the 90% Verdejo. The result is a very approachable, fruit driven, ready to drink, tasty little white wine. There is a lot of fresh, expressive tropical fruit on both the nose and palate. The acid is adequate for balance, but avoids that puckering sensation. There is some stony minerality with the lingering fresh fruit finish.

honey melon and pineapple fruit notes, a hint of oak balanced nicely with flinty stony notes on the finish. Very drinkable.
