  • A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, vinified without any sulfites.

Vibrant cherry color - somewhat hazy and rather opaque core but very clear, luminous rim. Ripe, wild and quite complex nose with vibrant and rather restic aromas of sweet blackberries, some stable floor, a little bit of bretty leather, light strawberry tones and a hint of juicy dark fruits. The wine is fresh, lively and wild on the palate with moderately full body and quite sweet-toned yet very crisp and crunchy flavors of brambly dark berries, some ripe strawberries, a little bit of juicy raspberries, light leathery tones, rather animal hints of barnyard and a touch of earthy spice. The structure relies mostly on the crunchy, high acidity as the tannins feel very soft and mellow. The finish is sweet-toned, wild and funky with pronounced acidity and vibrant flavors of sweet red berries, crunchy darker berries, some sunny dark fruit notes, a little bit of bretty barnyard and leather, light phenolic spice, a hint of sweet baking spices and a touch of coarse tannic grip.

A nice, approachable and wonderfully crunchy naturalist that tastes like Southern Rhône, but shows such freshness no Southern Rhône has ever shown. The wine might be too wild and funky for palates with preference for squeaky clean wines. I found the wine very charming and enjoyable, perfect for everyday use. Priced according to its quality at 17€.

  • I thought it was good, but not great, a fair amount of familiar funk on the nose like so many other natural wines I've had...guessing this is what many refer to as reduction; but with said I enjoyed the structure and balance to go along with the acidity and mild mouth squeezing tannins to accompany the dark dark fruit flavors of the Rhone.
