This wine is still a blast. One of my absolute favorite wines. Tonight very well paired with a typical Italian new years dinner.
Deep red-violet. 100% opaque. Compact rim. Fruity to the nose with deeper, darker notes. Low acidity with well balanced & pleasant tannins. Velvety on the attack, with a certain dryness to it. To the palate ripe plums, notes of chocolate and licorice. Long pleasant finish with sweet ripe plums and dried figs. No decanting needed.

Deep purple core, almost opaque. Intriguing violet and herbal aromas. Big, rich black fruit confiture entry with creosote undertones, a palpable layer of oak, excellent minerality, and drying, astringent tannins. Impressive scale, but is it balanced to last and improve?

Opaque. Wood and tolerable amount of VA. Port-like, modern feel, very lush. Black and blue fruit, herbs, and pepper. Not that tannic for its overall bulk. Despite the descriptors, curiously monotonous and not very interesting flavors.

Deep red purple color. Rich sweet fruit, dark berries, spice, light pepper. Smooth, no tannin. Very enjoyable. 15% Petit Verdot
