Deep purple color. Earthy nose with some red fruit aromas. Quite savory on the tongue, but, again, some hints of red--cherry--fruit. Some stoniness. Still noticeable tannin. Nice acid freshness makes this wine so easy to enjoy, Quite lengthy finish.

Now with some age, I like it a bit more than three years ago, but Kevin likes it a bit less. It’s still a saturated high pitched Grenache, so not much to say about that, but it’s got some lower range stuff and some good body.

Very dark, blood-red color. Double decanted and served immediately, this wine had an immediate and outsized aromatic profile of sweet dark fruits, with hints of anise, white pepper, flowers and spices, a medium++ body, a lively, sweetish mid-palate, integrated tannins, excellent acidity, and a medium finish with typical Grenache spiciness. One of the best things about this wine is its 13.5% alcohol, which makes it much more interesting and balanced than most Grenache-based wines from the Southern Rhone, and many from Spain as well. I would guess that this has 5-6 more great years ahead of it.

Kevin gives this wine a 92 for jammy greatness. I liked it too, but am glad that I’m not writing this review!

Much to like here - black cherry and a touch of spice/pepper, along with a bit of dusty tannins. Impressive.
