  Nose: more northern Rhone than southern. Definitely a cold climate syrah with notes of blackberries, black cherries, vanilla, cinnamon, and some mocha powder.
  
  Color: deep opaque bulletproof purple with a tiny purple rim. Wine screams youth even at 4 years old.
  
  Taste: wonderful cold climate notes. Faint black pepper mill, juicy blackberries, macerated black cherries, with a terrific salty black olive finish.
  
  This wine is very unique and more French than Northern California. Great effort.
