Somewhat over the hill. Orangish color with straw and oak elements. Not bad but not the classic RG I remember. My fault totally for waiting so long I think.

This grape has always been difficult for me because of the stylistic choices involved in making wine from it (read: skin contact), but this is an example that doesn't see any. There are still some of the flavours that seem to be in common with the Italian versions -- bitter citrus and a slightly rich funk -- but less of the unpleasant high-toned perfume aromas. Plenty of acidity here, but also a little bit of bitterness on the finish. I can't speak of how true this is to the grape, but as outright wine, it's quite delicious.

Lovely orangish yellow color. Nose contains tangerines and grapefruit. Crisp and tart on the palate is my favorite feature of this wine! Lemon, stone fruit, and even some lime wow the mouth. Finish lingers an insanely long time. My favorite non-red wine ever!! Glad I have more!!

Lovely floral nose with a hint of Old World earthiness. Vibrant orange, tangerine, and grapefruit flavors on the palate. I know this should be drunk in the summer, but it's nice to pretend it's June in February. Brings back great memories of our Napa trip, and this wine may be the biggest highlight!
