APPEARANCE: Very slightly rusty on pouring w/o close exam. NOSE: Earthy, barnyard nose at the beginning - blew off, then like Stokely's canned sour cherries. PALATE: canned sour cherries - lovely, soft flavor not fresh sour. Even more so the second night after Vac-u-Vin storage - nice acid makes mouth water, lovely cherries. Well balanced.

I'm a sucker for earthy pinots and this one has that earthy grassiness coursing through from the nose to the long lingering finish. Very well balanced as well, it has some acidity to cut through proteins and flavor to enhance anything on the plate. Probably best if decanted for 30 min but it's still good right off the pop.

This wine aged nicely. Cedar, earth, spice nose; Bright juicy, red cherry, earth, spice, black currants after an hour, balanced acidity, round, a little hot at the end, silky mouthfeel, long finish

Tart cherries, cola. Initially tight, becomes sublime after decanting for one hour.

Decanted and open one hour, nicely balanced, a light nose, not as complex as I thought it might be. Light bouquet, medium finish.
