  • Wow, no one's noted this wine for 4 years? Cellar stored since release, this has aged beautifully. A hint of parchment in the red plum color. Nose shows smoky strawberry glaze, grilled lamb , mint jelly, and Clubman talc. Fully integrated tannins, fresh red berry acidity, and a hint of soy sauce. Finish of wintergreen and underripe red berries. Drink up; my bottle was wonderful with chinese roast "banjo" style duck.

  • Bright, tart strawberries. Youthful. Similiar notes to a premier cru of a lighter vintage.

  • First sip was overwhelmed by heat however with a little airmitmsettled down. Strawberries, a touch of herbs and leather. All in, it is a decent showing for a 10 year old Oregon.

  • Just coming off a cold so I'm not sure my buds are working very well.
When first opened acid is elevated but with some time mellows. Wine is a little hollow in the middle and has some definite funk going on. Strawberry with a little smoke on the front end turn into a citrus finish. Folks that like wine on the lean side may like this better that I did. Update: after another hour the acid mellowed even more and the wine turned silkier in texture. Changed my score from 87 to 89. Night 2 - the wine is beautiful tonight with everything in balance. Along with some great fruit there is a really nice dose of cinnamon. I didn't think I would need to give this wine so much time to open up but I was wrong. I spent over three hours with it last night. Won't change my score from last night but a solid 92 tonight. Really nice!
