Medium straw in color, this wine white grapefruit and fresh nectarine on the nose. The mouth feel brought super high acidity and slight effervescence. The finish was strong with additional tart lemon zest notes.
Purchased for $9US/glass at ZaVino wine bar in Center City Philly at a recent business lunch, this was a pleasurable Vinho Verde that showing intensity while still staying typical to style with high acidity and effervescence.

Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 4/19/2014 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): I have not seen this brand before. Our local retailers seem to have the same 3 or 4 every year, so it is nice to see something new. This is not your every day simple Vinho Verde. There is a just a little more intensity and concentration than typical. There is big fresh peach and grapefruit on the nose. Persistent little effervescence. Nice and crisp peach, pear and citrus fruit. The finish shows some lingering and interesting flavors of orange peel and Meyer lemon.

Refreshing, not overly sweet sparkling wine. Good value, even if not terribly special.
