became much more complicated with time...black cherry, berryfruit, vanilla and an ongoing afterburn- filigree - withdrawn nose but more impressive on the palate though, changes perpetually. fine! drinks well, no noticeable alcohol.

didn't take much time in the decanter to open up..
bright fruity blackberry kind of fruit, sweetish raspberries along with a slightly sauerkraut and rhubarb nose, medium in any way, nice ripe cherry finish
nice elegant drop not too complicated for a pinot...

Medium-to-deep ruby in color, this Marimar Estate bottling combines black and red cherry fruit with clove, dried herbs and cocoa on both the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, fresh and with medium-weight, well-integrated tannins, it stays solid in the middle and hides its 13.5% alcohol well. The finish is medium in length and has a tart epilogue. This Pinot highlights the positive aspects of the 2011 vintage, with its freshness and requisite fruit. It should drink nicely over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2018.

Light, airy, and jovial. A titch on the tart side, otherwise would score higher.
