This property is a great property, qualified i mean its exposure to the sun which is pretty much all day. The soil types are perfect, and the wine maker Tommasso is a dedicated, talented man who puts the most important ingredient into any wine of character and that is LOVE. Most of us dont have the patience for a wine such as the Anfiteatro- but it needs at least 6 years before opening and then it needs decanting plus perhaps another 2 hours. This is a fine wine, very typical sangiovese mouthfeel, no intrusion from the oak, lovely flavors and quite complex, hence the decantation.. Very nice indeed, drink now.

Tasted at the winery. Aged 18 months in toasted French oak, the small barrels common in the rest of the world but not as traditional in Chianti. Medium dark red in color, with hints of tawny color near the edges of the glass. Darker in color than their CC and CC Riserva, with more extract on the palate. Higher acid and tannins. Notes of cherry and berries. Very nice wine. Drinking well now, through 2026.
