  • definitely unique, refreshing and enjoyable, but not as enjoyable as drinking a well made Brunello, Barbaresco, Barolo, amarone, etc. I liked this a lot, but I don't think its a $17 substitute for a hearty Italian wine. This is a lighter, aromatic style but lacks the stuffing that something like a well made Etna Rosso has. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer about this wine...its refreshing and enjoyable but not enough to put it into the 92pts category for me...

  • Light to medium bodied, balalnced, and full of high fruit notes, this wine is so yummy its almost impossible to put your glass down until its empty.

Needless to say (but I am going to say it anyway!) with a thirsty crowd this bottle didn't last long at all! Everybody loved it.

  • Very pure and bright, with a good nose of red fruit, pepper and spice and an even better taste and mouthfeel. Like biting into fresh red berries, with some acidity and tannin to give a backbone to what otherwise would be a 'slam it down' simple wine. Very good stuff. Will look for more Frappato.

  • OH gawd oh gawd oh gawd. This wine is my red wine wet dream. As a mostly white and rosé drinking male I don't really drink much red and therefore catch a lot of flack. I want to expand my horizons though. So, I chose this wine on a Garagiste offer and just tried it today. So bright and refreshing. My wife called it eminently drinkable and that's true. Also great pairing with beef and rice grape leaves. This wine has wonderful balanced acidity that worked perfectly with the lemon and tomato in this old family recipe.
