had very low expectations considering time in bottle and other comments here. surprisingly drinkable - had some structure and balance. sorry it was my last bottle and will dive into some of my other older (pre- cellartracker) vintages of this Syrah specialist and former Ronald McDonald.

Nearly opaque, intense purple color, with bright violet at the rim. Very extracted. Overwhelming aroma of hot dogs (seriously) and dead leaves. Later some earth and tar. Dry, very tannic, everything is in the front of the mouth, no mid-palate or finish, although it did start to unfold with some time in the glass.

Was in decline, past its prime. Should have been consumed well earlier. Very dark, rich purple. Tons of jammy fruit, however it was very simplistic.
