  • A blend of Rabigato, Viosinho, Arinto and Verdelho. Aged for 5 months in stainless steel.

Pale, only slightly green color. Quite attractive, expressive and fruit-forward nose full of exotic fruits typical of Portuguese whites: pear juice, honeydew melon, peach, pineapple marmalade and a hint of refreshing minerality. On the palate the wine feels rich, fruit-forward and pretty ripe with quite full body. There are pronounced flavors of melon and honeydew melon with some underlying notes of ripe pear and some apricot. Although the wine is quite modest in acidity and thus rather soft and even a bit fat, the wine still doesn't feel that heavy nor ponderous, but instead quite enjoyable. The finish is quite mellow and lacking a bit intensity, but still showing good persistence and nice freshness compared to the midpalate. There are flavors of ripe apple, pear and a hint of minerality in the aftertaste.

A tasty and a bit plump youthful Portuguese white showing good typicity and nice purity of fruit. Even though quite big and rather soft, I enjoyed this nicely. Best when server really cool, as the wine got a bit too heavy and ripe once it got too warm in the glass. Good stuff, although nothing special to write home about.
