Very rich and weighty mouthfeel. Highly mineral, very little discernible fruit but good acid. Enjoyable on its own. Clanged pretty badly against our entrees which both had high acid components, but went great with more delicate (recognizing these don't sound delicate at all - but it is New Orleans...) starters of green garlic spaghetti with crawfish tails and fried green tomatoes with mozzarella and basil.
